Morally grey FMC and MMC?! Yes please!

I loved the concept of the prison in this book and how of sexy MMC, Caius advocates for setting up conditions for prisoners to genuinely reform themselves. The author does a wonderful job of keeping it dark and fast-paced fun while also showcasing some important social justice issues (prison reform).
The one part of this book that I didn't love, and this is a personal preference, is Nina. She seemed deeply unwell, and even though Caius made it clear that he did not want a relationship with her, I felt it was wrong that no one saw how unwell she was (even though she was clearly also wrong in her choices). But I think this is maybe something that I don't love.

If you like hades/persephone retellings, this is a good dark and twisty one. On one hand, our FMC is a vigilante serial killer, and on the other, our tall dark and broody MMC is out for fratricide and justice.
