This took some patience but it follows the format of a traditional Agatha Christie mystery. There's no pulse pounding action. It's slow and deliberate and everything is told to you for a reason. (And yes, the ending made me want to read the book over again.) Masterful, if you like slow burn mysteries.

The story is not bad, but the plot is too slow to get to the twists. I felt like I’m dragging myself to continue reading.

It took around 100 pages to get used to the writing - Finn is writing the way old mystery novelists wrote and it takes effort to focus on it. I liked it okay, but I didn't like the ending. I had actually wondered at one point if the long lost boy would reappear as the person it turned out to be, but I thought there was no way the writer would choose this. Ridiculous.
