Having made my way through more than half of this woman's catalogue, here are some Tessa Dare Guarantees: there's like a 80% chance the hero has a tragic backstory, and a 90% chance that he's convinced he's can never love, and a 100% chance he'll have a change of heart after some life changing sex with the heroine who already knows she's in love with him but is afraid to scare him off by saying so. I hear you ask, do they confess their love and settle down and have lots of babies after knowing each other for like a week? Almost certainly. But you know what? I'm not mad about it lmao
I have a really hard time with romance books that center around the premise that the MCs are unlovable, and so they actively try to sabotage the relationship. I didn't make it to the part where they finally consummate the marriage and realize that maybe they are good together if they'd just stop getting in their own way; I couldn't get past the agony.
The book is cute and has me laughing at parts but the written out Scottish dialect is ugh and the self sabotaging turns me off.

This book... Oh God this book...

How could I not love and identify with a heroine who writes love letters for her fantasy lover, or sleep with pillows in her bed because she feels lonely? (I know, TMI)
Not to mention this freaking hero, who is loyal as hell, so very charming, who refuses to let people down and who fell in love with a woman after learning about her dreams, and flaws through her letters, I mean, how I could not LOVE this book???
Everything here is perfect IMO, the main characters, the secondary ones, Maddie and Logan's interaction, Maddie's thoughts on Logan, how they started to fall in love with each other more and more with time...
I love Tessa Dare books, I read all of them, but there's just something so very special about this book and Romancing the Duke, I don't know, they just hit a spot in my heart you know? I'm positive I'll be reading this book again in the future - hell, I feel like reading it again right now hahaha.

It was good. Didn't blow me away but it's a really nice easy read. With some kinda funny moment and some kinda sexy moments. Loved the Fmc.

I really liked when the scot ties the knot it was just fun to read I really liked that they weren't doing it every couple of chapters which is what I feel like happens a lot in Tessa Dare books. I think I just wasn't really in the mood to read this but it was pretty good and I would def recomend for something lighthearted. I did like how the characters had a little bit of backstory.
