Delightful romance! The characters are so funny (great sense of humor, not acting silly). Very fun setting and I enjoyed the depth to the characters

There were parts of this that I really loved, but there was also the use of the term ‘breeding parts’ (shudder), a LOT of references to womb feelings, a whole lot of ‘this is just extremely cis het’, a weird amount of ‘bar your door to protect yourself from my manly needs’, and a not super skillful representation of a traumatic brain injury. I really did love the parts that I loved - the humour, the spice is consistently good from Tessa Dare, the politics around colonization and landlordery were great (I really appreciated how this was handled!), and the personal growth for both characters was so good!! But the other stuff was … a lot.
