And I have read too many novels, I think.
This is far from my usual go-to, but Dare's books are refreshingly fun and different. At a glance, the storyline appears a little silly, but I found it to be an engaging and wonderful book. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Thanks, Beth!

My favorite entry in the Castles Ever After series so far! The characters were both really well written (though ugh Scottish dialect written out...) and I adored the female lead as well as her aunt, and just the storyline in general. Sometimes serious moments went a little oddly, but for the most part it was a terrific read.
I would not give this a 3-star rating for the funny scenes. I think this book is too long for a romance for my taste and at some point nothing is really happening.

I was unsure how this set up would work, but it started off with a bang. I loved the set up and the sampling of letters. The fact that Maddie added drawings to the letters was a nice touch. What really sold this for me, though, is how much Logan actually enjoyed receiving the letters. It was sweet.
The book succumbed to the expected flaws. People talk and act like contemporary characters. The story and "slow burn" seem like filler to put time between sexual encounters. The sexy part of the man is that she sees him read books. He reads Pride and Prejudice no less It's a little over the top corny.
Btw, how is he OK with the Mac- jokes? Mr. MacSleepy? that's ok?
I would like to read a romance that doesn't stall things because a character thinks they are unlovable or unable to love. This wasn't it. There could be so many other things to navigate in a relationship!

El libro partió de forma divertida, luego tuvo una parte central que a ratos me hizo desear dejar de leer, y después tuvo un buen final.
