Jagger does it again! This is book 6 of interconnected standalones within his Dark Hearts series and I loved it!
-greek mafia
-enemies to lovers
-grumpy/sunshine
-psycho/possessive MMC
-primal/chase
Deimos has been the most mysterious of the Drakos family and I really enjoyed getting to learn more about him. His dark, sinister, calculating persona was so intriguing and I love how unhinged and obsessive he is with Dahlia. They were perfect together and the primal/chase spice is one of my favorites! Highly recommend this book and this whole series!

In Reckless Hearts, book 6 of the Dark Hearts series, we eventually get Deimos Drakos story. I wasn't disappointed.
He has an obsession with Dahlia, who we met briefly earlier in the series.
Deimos and Dahlia have a past from when they were both at Knightsblood University. Dahlia witnessed something she shouldn't have and Deimos made her run, saying if they ever crossed paths again he would destroy everything she loved.
Living in New York, she had befriended Callie without realising who she was. Deimos lives in London as he hates New York, so she thought she was safe. Now their paths have crossed again and now she is back under his radar.
Through flashbacks we learn just how deep their connection is and we find out exactly what happened between tthem.
In the present Dahlia is at the hands of Deimos where they end up in a bit of a forced proximity situation.
The longer they are together we find out that Deimos and Dahlia aren’t that different from one another.

Excuse me. This book has no right being that good. I honestly feel it is the best one out of the series, maybe even my favorite. Which I thought it was going to be hard to beat Stolen Hearts but damn.

This is my first Jagger Cole book, and what a treat it was to start with. I felt I could follow the plot and characters with ease, even though I knew reading the other books in the series first would be helpful.
Dark and troubled, Deimos wants to exact revenge on Dahlia for an incident that occurred several years ago. He's out to destroy her and consume her, and despite her initial battle, she lets him. But as he discovers some truths, Deimos quickly transforms from a monster to her protector- because not everything and everybody is as it seems. I genuinely felt sorry for Dahlia. Her past is revealed to us through a combination of flashbacks and present-day scenes told from the perspectives of both characters. She’s been badly hurt numerous times but still manages to come out with a bubbly persona, despite multiple people, Deimos included, trying to break her.
Relationship wise, something about Deimos' darkness calls to Dahlia, and despite her inexperience, which Deimos doesn't know about, they are the perfect match both in and out of the bedroom. Spicewise, expect a dirty mouth, primal chases, and a whole lot of hot and heavy filth.
There were some brilliant twists and turns in this book, with the lines between the good and bad guys blurring. Whereas it starts out that Deimos is who Dahlia should be afraid of, it soon turns out she is more at risk than previously known. When details about people from both their pasts and present come to light, Deimos uses his knowledge and connections to save her. I loved how the author wrote these parts, building tension and suspense, giving snippets of information that leave us guessing about who is involved and what would happen next.
