Better Than Me was a delight to read and Natalie and Jonah were true book heros that melted my heart. A trauma surgeon and a pediatric attending both working at Remington Memorial. Two friends who work tirelessly to save lives, which is already endearing, but when Natalie and Jonah eventually fall for each other in the loveliest way possible, I couldn't help but love each of them even more.

Natalie's apartment is damaged when a bathtub comes crashing down from the second floor to the first floor, making her home uninhabitable until it is fixed. With no where else to turn, her best friend, Jonah (her commitment-phobe-doesn't-even-allow-one-night-stands-to-spend-the-night-friend) concedes to Natalie's desperate situation and she becomes his new roommate. Against his better judgement he offers up his futon to his best friend, knowing it's only short term. That is until he sees her lacy lingerie, not once in all the years he's known her did he think about her satin or lace, or what Natalie was wearing under her scrubs. Soon all Jonah can think about is what she's not wearing under her scrubs, how soft her skin might feel, and how she'd taste. He is in more trouble than he originally thought and six weeks until her apartment is finished won't come soon enough. He can't jeopardize his friendship with Natalie she knows him better than anyone and he can't lose that over thinking about her sexy panties.

Natalie and Jonah are best friends and she really appreciates crashing on his futon for the next several weeks. Even better, she feels that they are growing closer since she's moved in. They are able to talk about cases on their down time, they drive into work together when they work the same shift, and Jonah actually comes with her when she volunteers at the clinic. He probably has better things to do, but she will take his help and enjoys the extra time with him. He has always been a great guy and their friendship is stronger than ever, which leads her to thinking about asking him to help her in another avenue that has been plaguing her for quite some time. Jonah might be perfect for helping her out of an awkward situation, but can they still be best friends when all is said and done?

Kimberly Kincaid was a new author for me and the Remington Memorial world is filled with wonderful secondary characters I look forward to revisiting again.

You will not be able to put this friends to lovers romance down once you start it. What starts with a apartment renter's nightmare ends up being the perfect timing for Natalie when she is forced to spend a few weeks on her best friend's couch. A best friend who just happens to be a sexy alpha-male and also a top notch surgeon. So while the two friends think that living together and working together will not change how they feel, a simple spark brings out beautifully written chemistry. Once a line is crossed the result is heart warming. But of course new love also has some bumps in the road and when an unexpected diagnosis happens will the two be strong enough to get through it together? With lovable characters and a storyline that had me hooked from the opening pages this book was a great read that I highly recommend.

Adorable!

I very much enjoyed “watching” Natalie and Jonah go from the closest of friends to more one beautiful step at a time!

I did want to smack her towards the end though. They spent the whole time talking about opening up and then $hit hits the fan and and she runs?! Ugh! (Very typical strong willed female though!

A 32 year old hot female doctor - I would have died laughing - except well sexism - she's a virgin and he's a man whore of course - WTF year is this again??? I honestly couldn't get past this to give two craps about the plot. Whose giving out five stars for this sexist shit????? Seriously. I just- I can handle a lot but - she's in her 30s - never had sex - shes the pure woman who can save him- I can't even explain how pissed off this made me. Skimmed through for my own sanity.

As a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy, I loved this book! I felt like I was reading a book version of the show. The hustle and bustle of the life of a surgeon was beautifully displayed as well as the emotional attachments of Natalie along with the cast of doctors and nurses that she works with.  Natalie and Jonah's story is different yet has a hint of a cliche. It's different because of Natalie's sheltered background--at first, I really struggled with the fact that she was a 32 year old virgin but her rationale did make a tiny bit of sense even if I felt that it was a bit far fetched. It's a complete cliche that Jonah is a player and that the quintessential player falls in love with the virgin who by no fault of her own becomes his temporary roommate. A sweet friends to lovers romance complete with a swoony worthy book boyfriends and comic relief in the form of Connor.

Although speaking of Connor, I struggled a bit with the epilogue changing to his POV. It is a terrific lead in to his book which I presume is the next book in the series, but I wanted to hear more from Jonah especially in light of what Natalie was enduring. How is she coping? How is she surviving both physically and mentally? Connor's POV the reader on gets a fraction of it. The epilogue is more Connor focused.

Natalie's girls nights have me cracking up and wishing I had more of my own. Her love for children, especially her patients, had me tearing up at points. Jonah is the epitome of a dream doctor, and brought back my crush on Doug Ross from ER, lol. He's suffered heartache and doesn't want to put his heart on the line ever again.
Better Than Me is like my ultimate dream episode of Grey's Anatomy! I love the chemistry between the main characters and their strong friendship with each other. I wasn't able to put this book down once I started and was even listening to it in the car (quietly in the drive-thru, lol). The development between the characters, and as individuals, happens at the perfect pace and I couldn't have asked for a better story!

I absolutely loved this book! Natalie and Jonah are so great together both in friendship and in love. This story was both sweet and sexy. Each one is struggling with their own issues, but they figure out sometimes it is better with someone else to go through them with. You will not be disappointed with this book, or anything Kimberly Kincaid writes.

Better Than Me is the second book in the Remington Medical series from Kimberly Kincaid. I adored the first book in this series and really didn't think Ms. Kincaid could top it, and I'm happy to say I was so wrong. Better Than Me is absolutely my favorite book ever from Ms. Kincaid.

I loved everything about getting Jonah and Natalie's story. The best friends-to-lovers troupe is a favorite of mine and it was done so well in Better Than Me. Jonah is a known commitment phobe. He loves to play the field and absolutely never brings anyone back to his apartment. Natalie is pretty much a workaholic who always looks for the bright side of everything (very much a Pollyanna). However, when Natalie has a mishap with her apartment and needs a place to stay, she immediately turns to her best friend Jonah. I seriously laughed out loud at all of his initial excuses why Natalie should try and find somewhere else to stay. It was so freaking comical especially since Natalie could counter each and every reason.

I absolutely loved that Jonah and Natalie were truly best friends before their relationship changed to a physical one. They had the best relationship and I honestly felt like them becoming lovers only brought they closer. They both seemed to share more about their pasts and their fears once they made love for the first time. I fell in love with this couple right along with them. Ms. Kincaid took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions with Better Than Me. One minute I was laughing out loud and the next I was sobbing my eyes out. I love a book that pulls so many emotions from me, and Better Than Me did it in spades.

Better Than Me was a wonderful addition to the Remington Medical series. I am already counting down the days until we get to head back to Remington Medical for the next book in the series. I highly recommend Better Than Me for fans of contemporary romance books.

A solid addition to the series. Jonah and Natalie are great characters. I liked how they are friends that move to lovers. They are both hard working surgeons that are keeping deep secrets from their best friends. When a bathtub falls into Natalie's living room, Jonah offers to let her stay with him temporarily, even though he never lets a woman stay over. The feelings grow and expand. The angst level is low, but there is enough to help push the story along. I loved watching them discover what they had with each other and take the leap.
