I think I have a new author to add to favorites.
I personally liked "Made you Up" better, but they have both been fantastic.
I am going to check out her work on Wattpad too.
Definitely an author to watch.

Man oh man, I do NOT like Eliza, nor how depression/suicide/anxiety was handled in this.
Great idea - I've never read a book based on a teen fandom/fic writer, but nope. Execution sucked.

This was a great fandom-y look at Eliza, who has written a comic so huge it has millions of followers, and is now simultaneously her entire life, the one thing she loves, and stressing her out, and Wallace, a fanfiction writer who is one of her most devoted fans. He gets transferred to her school, they meet, and when he realizes they have an interest in the same comic, she pretends to be just another fan.
Eliza and Wallace are adorkable together in their own way and the puppy dog scenes are kind of great, too 😊 This reminded me a little bit of Fangirl in a good way, as it’s one of my favorites, and now I have another one!

I can't say I think this is the best book ever, because it isn't, but I do think this book's special. For me. It's one of those book so relatable, that I just want to hug it and tell it it's all gonna be okay. I relate to what she feels, what she thinks, and her fears--- and it just connected so well with me that now that I finished it, I think I won't ever forget it. I'll always look back at this book, and think that this is exactly how I felt at this exact moment in time. And I'm grateful, because it's always difficult to explain what it's happening inside your head, and you can never find the right words or conceive how to put it in sentences that make sense, you know. Well, this is it. This is, mostly, what it's happening.
A story that focuses so beautifully on an anxious overthinking teen. So relatable with realistic relationships and the occasional overbearing parents. Must read contemporary novel, A cute softboi too.
