شب‌بخیر پون‌پون خارق‌العده‌ست. تکنیکی در ادبیات مدرنیسم داریم به اسم واقع‌گرایی روانشناختی. این تکنیک می‌آد و چشم و ذهن شخصیت اصلی رو تبدیل به
پنجره‌ای برای روایت داستان می‌کنه و شما دنیای داستان رو اونطور می‌بینید که پون‌پون می‌بینه. از روی تصویرسازی‌ها متوجه می‌شید کی‌ها براش عزیزن و کی‌ها غریبه. اتفاقاتی که ممکنه برای بقیه عادی باشن چطور در ذهن پون‌پون شکل می‌گیرن و مبنای واکنش‌هاش چیه. نمود این موضوع توی تصویرسازی و روایت شاهکاره.

خود داستانش هم به قولی یه مدرنیسمه که می‌خواد رشد (از همه نظر) انسان در طی رویدادهای مختلف رو نشون بده. این کار رو هم به شیوه‌های خیلی خیلی جالبی انجام می‌ده. در نظر بگیرید پون‌پون عاشق شده، اون هم وقتی که پدر و مادرش دارن طلاق می‌گیرن. داستان خوب بلده در عین ساده موندن، عمیق بشه و حرف بزنه. تجربیات مشترکی رو به تصویر بکشه و بهتون متذکر بشه که خود شما چطور از این رویدادها عبور کردید. آغاز کم‌نظیری بود و طبق گفته‌ی دوستان، هنوز ضربات هولناک زیادی مونده.

I thought I was in for a cute, wholesome time. I was not. And that's not bad! Goodnight Punpun delves into Punpun, a pre-teen young man who is going through the classic pre-teen things. And also God - who looks like a copy-pasted real life person and is summoned with a special weird chant that I no longer remember - is there. Honestly a great read, but I think I just wasn't quite in the headspace to fully embrace it, and in terms of preparing myself for the future of the series, I did some digging and the vibes get DARK. I'd be down to try this again later in life, but right now, it's just one of them classic "tricks you into the edgy topics" manga.
