Sad story, but just OK to me. The a writing to me was very basic and repetitive. There is one scene with Miki and Redd that made me cringe and could have been rewritten. But there were a few instances where the author would say something and say it again a different way in the next sentence, which made me feel like the book was a little drawn out.

I felt bad for Miki because I know her story isn't unique, but I was also frustrated that she didn't act sooner (again, I know this happens in real life). I had mixed feelings about Bebe because he tried to be patient with Miki but he wasn't entirely innocent either.

Wow!!!!

First the book was set in my hometown Nashville, TN which made the book real for me. I am a fairytale romantic girl at heart and I need HEA to give a book 5 stars but not this time. This book was so good it couldn't be fiction. Ivy Symone did her thing. The story started with Redd and Mikina destructive relationship just when I thought Redd fine a** was going to do right Bebe stepped in. As soon as you think the plot is going to be predictable Ivy Symone switches it up on you. The ending left me speechless!!!! Great book no part 2 no cliffhangers just one fantastic book that you can't put down until the very last page that deals with real life issues.

Emotional

That ending is surreal for some people dealing with men like this. I hurt for Bebe too, a good man who will have this haunt him forever!

Tears

If you are not ready to be in your feelings do not pick this book up. Oh my gosh I am heart broken. I was not expecting this ending but this is how life is. Definitely a good story but so sad.

So sad

This story was very deep and well written. Miki had been a victim of abuse all of her adult life. Thats all she really knew until she met Bebe who showed her how she should be treated. This story invoked so many different emotions until finally tears.

Emotional endings =Ivy Symone

It never fails, reading an Ivy Symone book will have you in your feelings, a basket case almost. WTH was wrong with Redd, the man was nuts. Miki, Miki, Miki so nice, so naive all those years she dealt with Redd's drama. Bebe, the knight in shining armor, trying to rescue all the women he held close to him. That ending though....where's tickle me elmo when you need him.
