Great twist at the end. Lots of characters to keep up with but all well introduced so you can keep track, thoroughly enjoyed.

I thought this topic was interesting, but it didn’t have the same effect on me as the ones that take place in Grant County. Only one more left!

I could be misremembering the line but the part about the advances in surgery and the reasoning behind the parents choice was made to seem almost superficial when having had that surgery the Drs automatically go for the least invasive when possible? A small pet peeve and otherwise a very gripping story with thorough plot twists.

This one was a tough read, especially with the focus on Sara’s past from 15 years ago. The ending was truly shocking—it's hard to believe how cruel people can be. Like her other books, it’s dark, graphic, and deeply unsettling

I love Sara and Will together.  I was worried about this, revisiting Sara's trauma, but it was damn good.  I didn't really see how it all connected to Sara until it did because I was so distracted by everything else coming at me.  I'm a bit worried now though because what else can Slaughter do to Sara??
