Another Will Trent classic! Am I the only one that finds Sara Linton annoying now tho?
This marked my initial foray into the Will Trent series, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm eager to delve into more books within this collection. While the storyline was exceptional, I do feel that the book could have been more concise. Overall, though, I enjoyed it immensely, and I extend my gratitude to NetGalley and the publisher for providing the advance reader copy.

At some point in my used book buying era, I thought I wanted to read everything Slaughter wrote, so I picked her stuff up whenever I found it. Now here I am a few years later working my way through the books on my shelf, but at least I only have a couple of hers left.
I don't know why I was so into reading Slaughter. She goes for shock value above all else, including plot. This book was fine but not great and not worth the graphic scenes it included over and over again. Will Trent and his universe are ok, probably some of my favourite of Slaughter's characters, but not enough to redeem this book. I'll still read the other books I have by her, just to confirm that she's still not for me, and then I think I'm done with Slaughter.
