I'll always read a Karin Slaughter but this was one of my least favorites. She can definitely keep a story going, though.

Didn't realize it was part of a series. Going to go back and read the whole thing but it's also a good stand alone book, I wasn't lost at all.

if i could rate just the last 100 or so pages, it would be a 4.5 for me. overall it wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great.

This one starts with a captivating mystery – when a brutally assaulted young woman arrives in the ER where Dr Sara Linton is working, it turns out her case has links to the assault Dr Linton herself fell victim to 15 years before. Her assailant then was identified and is rotting in prison – so how are the cases connected?

I'm going to preface this by saying if you have not read the rest of the Will Trent series or the Grant County series, this may not hit for you...

BUT HOLY SHIT I LOVED ❤️

Sara is my baby and I love her so much and I will always always always eat up the storylines that explore her past in more depth, my badass baby girl I love you 😘

Will is so hilarious when he's undercover and I can't get enough of it.

Faith's inner monologues were pure perfection in this one, I could especially relate as a mother of both a boy and a girl.

Your honour, I love them.

This was just as good if not better than the tv series I was watching on Hulu. I was surprised who ended up being the ringleader of the attacks. I cannot wait to read the other series. I recommend it if you like crime detective reads.
