…HOW THE FAWK. Did we do all that and get NO WHERE?!? Onxy storm…was…a 4 ⭐️. Maybe even 3.75 because the whole book we ran in a damn circle. The fantasy aspect in this was 10/10 exploring new isles and digging deeper into Violet and even Xaden’s past. Xaden carried this whole book for me, him displaying and shouting from the rooftops his love for Violet was everything. His fight for against (iykyk) even if he had no hope. That one plot line about his mom…that was so sad. But also seeing him at peace for a few chapters made me FEEL something! Okay?!? Now Violet…my girl was stepping on necks this whole book, she was doing everything for her MAN! But then again like…she fell short for me because she was doing everything for her man yk? That one convo, needed to happen to slap some reality into my girl, but if Xaden Riorson was my bf I would be delusional too. AH. The side banter from the side-characters in this book was everything! It kept the momentum going and made me favor certain characters. Now…that ending…WTF? Like so serious WHAT.THE.FAWKKKKKKK?!? That’s where I was lost- but a good set-up for the next book. But dang, my girl Violet didn’t deserve that…

This book was the biggest disappointment, I had so much hope for this series. It was a poorly written filler book with a shitty ending. I'm done giving Rebecca yarros money, this book is such a cash grab.
