Eoin Colfer's continued adventures of Artemis Fowl incorporates a trained assassin in The Opal Deception. A highlight of the middle books.

By the fourth book, the Artemis Fowl formula is comfortable and predictable. Artemis comes up with a great plan, Holly goes rogue, Foaly is impertinent, Mulch passes gas and breaks into something, and Butler blows something up. But despite the predictability, this was a good story and an enjoyable read.
The bad boy is back! and we love him. So far this book might be the best one in the series. It brings all the characters back together and lefts you wishing they would stay together forever. :P
A return to form for Colfer, and a strong entry in the series
I loved the last simple defeat! Artemis is definitely my favorite character!
