Not my favorite Odd Thomas book, but it was still awesome!!
Another Odd adventure which wasn't as good as the first book. That being said - I finished it and I am usually very picky with the books I finish.
I absolutely adore Odd as a character! I would read about him doing his laundry.
This book was very dark and involved nasty bad guys - as usual - as well as a bit of time travel theory and Nikola Tesla. So that was pretty cool.
Also introduced Odds next ghost counselling case - Alfred Hitchcock. I know that is going to be fun in the next story! ;)
I laughed, I got choked up and flinched at the gruesome torture involved on the part of the bad guys. Really nasty bad guys is all I will say.
Also (and this is going to sound really bad) I enjoyed reading about Odd getting a bit more beaten up than usual at the end. The number of times Odd has avoided not only near death - but any injury at all had become tiresome so I really relished in his pain - however temporary. Maybe it was just me. XD
All round a good story. Well paced. Blah blah. I want Odd to have some romance damn it! And also get some answers about Annamaria. It's been three books now without anymore clues at to what's up with her. Come on! Don't drag it out any further!
Good book. Would recommend.
Happy reading!

Took a long break in the middle of this one, but the ending was as good as all the others I've read.
This was better than the last one a lot more paranormal, time shifting pig monsters and mystries. I would have liked to have learned more about Anna Marie, i have some theories but I'll not add them in case they are spoilers.
I enjoy Dean Koontz and adore the Odd Thomas series - but this book was weird.
Compared to the other Odd novels, Odd Apocalypse was different. It's pretty slow paced and the supernatural element we're used to - you know, ghosts - is pretty lacking. Instead, we watch as Odd tries to unravel a science mystery that ends up being - wait for it - time travel.
The Annamaria character is in this book like the previous one, but she's such an annoying presence to me that I wish Odd was going it along with Elvis and Boo, no weird human companions.
Worth a read, though, if you're an Odd fan. There are some really fantastic thoughts on worry in this book - which were meaningful to me as an anxiety sufferer!

Another, typical, Odd Thomas book - and I mean that in a good way. I love the sense of humor woven throughout the book.
