i used to really enjoy the odd thomas books however i am quickly losing interest due to the amount of political commentary that is woven into the inner thoughts of the main character... it seems like oddie is watching WAY too much Fox news and i hope the author figures out he is alienating at least half the readers with these anti government rants

GREAT! Will read the rest of the series shortly!

Hilarious suspense. Awesome!

Better. The last couple in this series had me worried that the greatness of the first three books would not be seen again. This one was very good.

This story continues to please me.

Mini-Review:

My fav of this series is the first book. This one is a runner up. The story makes much more sense if you read Odd Interlude first.

A windy, curious adventure with a large dollop of horror and threaded with Odd's humor on all sides.

A truly Odd story! The plot is as unpredictable as ever and the characters are interesting. However, the author keeps playing with himself. A few references to historical figures, literary quotes, vivid descriptions and jibes are great! Those ingredients are normally a spice in books that I enjoy. Yet having 2/3 of the book being nothing but that "spice" is exhausting when all you want is the story to be told well.

Odd's personality is still there, I do like him as a person, and... I donno...there's no dancing clowns or evil pumpkin ghosts or anything so I guess I can give this two stars?

It was just brilliantly disappointing, beginning, middle and end.
So that end!
I'm so sorry Odd, you were meant for better things.

An interesting story. I didn't realise until well into the book that it was part of a series. So many of Koontz's books are standalones. I didn't think to check the front cover.
The story is different from what I've read from Koontz before, but no less enjoyable. I'll definitely be seeking out the other books in the series so I can have a more detailed picture of the character.

Odd Apocalypse was a disappointment.I liked the first one in the series, tolerated the next two, but the last two have just been more of the same, no originality, tension, or suspense. Just Odd doing essentially the same thing in a different setting. About a third of the way throughmth book, I couldn't stand it any more, skipped to the last few pages just to see if the end would be as predictable as I thought (it was) and then closed the book.

I had high hope for this Odd novel, since over the last few years Koontz' books have not held my interest as they once did, but it does seem that, for me, one of may favorite novelists has lost his appeal.
