Preston and Amanda's story is a story I've been looking forward to. I've had a crush on Preston since the first book and was happy to find out there was s story for him and Amanda.
Their love story was kind of complicated to describe. Some say it isn't but if I tried to describe it it would take up the entire review. So, to save you the time: it is a good book.
If you are reading the Sea Breeze series and enjoying them, then read this one. I loved Preston because I have a thing for bad boys (like Cage).
It was filled with just the right amount of romance and drama. I recommend this book to mature ya readers, romance/chick-lit readers and Abbi Glines lovers.

The only thing that I feel that the author should have put in there (and am surprised that nobody on here mentions) is the fact that Preston and Amanda had sex without protection when he was still being a Gigalow. If I were Amanda, I'd have been pissed that not only did he lie to her, but he let her take a risk with her health and body by having sex with a condom when he's sleeping with many other women. I feel like the author should have mentioned something like this just to be realistic and responsible as an author.

Butttt this was one of my fav Sea Breeze stories. I think it had many good angles with the kids, the bad boy, his job. Amanda is a good character who can stand up for herself and is very enjoyable to read about.

Womanizing man whore Preston is lusted after by his best friend Marcus' little sister Amanda. Preston is from the wrong side of town and feels that he is too poor/bad/broken/etc. to deserve the love, attention and affection as the beautiful, innocent and rich Amanda. Little do they know that they are fantasizing about each other. She haunts Preston's dreams, but have his dreams come true?

This was another fun light read from the Sea Breeze series. I've enjoyed these books so far, but I'm still a bit put off by the bad boys managing to get the virgins to orgasm their first time. I just don't buy it. That is probably my only complaint about this book.

Preston turns out to be a lot deeper and more caring than he appears (as a womanizing jock). He's working hard to keep his family afloat without losing his college baseball scholarship and it's a difficult balancing act. Once he lets Amanda in, things improve. I enjoyed seeing the characters in the series grow in these books. Rock and Tricia play an important role in this book and I hope to see more of them in future books. I'd like to see more about Marcus and Low post-wedding.

Great beach read.

2.75* it’s what I needed lol

I know what you guys are thinking.

“Chelsea, you haven’t enjoyed her books yet. You always have issues with them”.

I know, I know. And this one was super cheesy and the dude was definitely not my favorite type to read about .

And yet...

The world is wack. I listened to this on audio while online book shopping. And y’all it wasn’t my fave romance but it was what I wanted to read in the moment. Some fluff with some sexy times. So ye I thought it was alright and I wont even lie about it lol

*i originally gave 3 stars but since it was 2.75 i decided to do 2 because that’s how i just rate all my books and this one shouldn’t be any different. i just don’t like rounding up and it was bothering me. but i did enjoy this.

Preston (Marcus's BFF) and Amanda his younger sister. She wanted him for years & 1 night she practically begged him for sex bur he doesn't even remember the night he was so drunk. But he had been pining for her too.

Preston has had a hard life, no father, a POS mom. He pays for her to live & take care of his brothers & sisters. He is in college on a baseball scholarship so how does he pay for it? Sex w/ wealthy women. He tells her more than even Marcus may know but she's leave if she found that out. She is a pretty decent, caring, grounded person despite a privileged upbringing. She finds out his secret from her mom & she ends it .

Yes, she gets over him lying pretty easily, BUT it was a still a really good story. How can you fault a guy for doing what he had to in order to survive & support his family.

It was a HEA but I feel like there is going to be more. I need to know about their future.

"Just for Now" is the 4th book in the Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines. Of those three, "While it Lasts" was my favorite of the bunch, and "Just for Now" is now very close to my heart in line with "While it Lasts". The book really just takes off running and leaving you panting a bit... giving you just a taste of what's in store for you. I wasn't really sure if I would like Preston, but you gotta give Abbi Glines credit for making some seriously hot bad boys for her books. Once you get to really know Preston Drake, you can't help but fall for him, too - the same way you do for Cage in "While it Lasts". This is another really fun, easy breezy romance that's got some steamy scenes in store for you - and is romantic to boot. I read this book in about a day (5-6 hours or so) and just couldn't put it down. Fun stuff!

Another great book from Abbi Glines. I really enjoyed Preston and Amanda's story. I didn't find it as heart breaking as some of the other couples but still a story I couldn't put down.
