I enjoyed this one. The pacing was good with the last quarter of the book really taking off. The dark and gruesome descriptions made me wonder what on earth goes on in the heads of some authors. I would definitely put another Karin Slaughter book on my tbr pile.

Okay, so…
This was HEAVY. Strongly encourage anyone planning on reading this book to read the trigger warnings first. The first chunk of the book was so so gripping. So many plotwists and moments that had me in AWE. Anyhow, it gets a little predictable afterwards and around 70% in I was so ready to just finish the book; felt a little longer than needed.
I loved the mother/daughter relationship in this book! It was very wholesome and I just loved reading their interactions. The ending was also wholesome in the sense of the characters finding closure on such a heavy matter. I also really enjoyed the way the letters by Sam were written, specially the last one.

Meh it was fine. It was longer than I needed to be without that many turns that were actually that entertaining.
