Even better than the first book in the series!! Sloane and Declan are perfect together. I loved the banter all throughout the book. I laughed so many times I lost count. Their chemistry is undeniable and Declan, what a man he is.

UPDATE: Sighhhhhhhh. So, I read the first book in the series, and seeing Sloan from Natalie's POV intrigued me. I re-read this book, and I actually really liked Sloan. Of course, there is still a lot of cringy dialogue. The word "gangster" being used unironically and constantly was a huge ick.

1 star Ughhhhhhhhh. The FMC Isn't Like Other Girls. She's Quirky™️. And a Libertarian. Who somehow doesn't care about money lolololololol

I was so excited to read this book after two of my book besties told me this was their favorite of the series, and after how much I adored Ruthless Creatures.

While I didnt love this book at R.C. personally, it was still so fun to do a tandem read with the physical and audio books. I loved how bad ass Sloane was! Her causing chaos for Declan while being kidnapped by hm and his posse was just hilarious to me. The romance didnt hit, but I did really enjoy the spice and how the suspense story unraveled. Sloane being the center of everyone's plans was such a fun plot point.
