This is the second book in the Queens and Monsters series and so far my favorite book. This book follows Sloane who is kidnapped by an Irish gangster to realize their is something between them. This book is so much better than book 1. There’s bantering, humor, angst, and amazing chemistry. I loved the fast pacing for the story and getting into the Irish mafia. This book also gets a bit into Sloane’s background and I would have loved to see more of it. This book is told from mainly Sloane and Declan’s pov.
Sloane is the FMC of the story and she is badass. I love her character and seeing how strong she is. She grows in this story and I can’t wait to see her in future books. Then we have Declan who is obsessed with Sloane but not sure what to do. I love how he will do anything for her. There are a few minor side characters but I loved Declan’s people who are protective of Sloane. We also get to remeet the previous book characters. The romance is age gap, forced proximity, foridden love, and kind of enemies to lovers with a few steamy scenes.
The ending was well done and one of my favorite books of this year. I am telling you that there was some angst and bantering that made me kick my feet like a little girl. There is so much chemistry between the MCs that I just love them. I am excited to read the next book and see where I go next in the world.

i was trying to knock our series that i’ve started and wanted to continue, but never got around to it, and i gave the first book in this series a pretty high rating
