I like it, but the movie was actually better in this case. Bawled my eyes out the whole movie.

For what its worth, I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could.
The book is strange, almost something you expect to see in the waiting room of a hospice or something you would want to give to children to teach them about death in a saccharin way. But the book is actually better than that, and definitely a worthwhile read.
I liked the author's short, easy-to-read style so much, I later read Tuesday's with Morrie, although I liked this book better.

The book is so comforting and it shows the growth of the protagonist all throughout the flow of the story where he met 5 different people which in the end, I found out that are all connected to Eddie’s life story. It made me also reflect on the reality of life that life is short and we have to make the most out of it and be KIND to everyone.

The story begins with a man called Eddie who dies trying to save a little girl at an amusement park. After his death, he meets five people in heaven who each help him understand something about his life — things he never knew, or misunderstood. It’s not a preachy book. It doesn’t try to convert you or sell you a specific vision of the afterlife. It gently explores the idea that our lives are more connected and meaningful than we realise. Loved how the book handled regret, forgiveness, and love- especially the kind that’s messy and imperfect, like the love between a father and daughter. One of the people Eddie meets is his wife, and their conversation made me think so much about my dad — about how grief doesn't end love, and maybe doesn’t even have to end the relationship, either. I had a good cry in this chapter.
The book also made me think about the way our lives touch others, often in ways we never see. If you’ve lost someone, especially a parent, and you're not sure what to do with all the pain, this book might not give you answers, but it might give you a little bit of meaning. And sometimes, that’s enough.
