WOW!! The hype surrounding this one was well deserved!!
For it being a legal thriller, there was truly so many twists. Definitely a mother's worst nightmare!

Courtroom thriller about a woman who left her nephew in a hot car. I feel like that's all you should know going into this one. It's very heartbreaking, tense, and dark.

A high profile legal trial, full of family and domestic drama, and wists that unravel throughout...
The kind of twists that make you re-read the previous pages and question what you read!
A great storyline, I was hooked on this book! Kept me guessing on who was the good/bad guy, and the family tension with the sister Vs sister dynamic
The last 2 chapters were twisty and intense, but I thought the book should have lasted at least another 20 pages to see the result of them twists!
Leila is asked by her brother in law, Andrew, to take his son Max to nursery. Hours later, there's a call saying Max wasn't at nursery... Leila left him in the car, and what follows is a legal trial to see if it was an accident or intentional.
***Spoilers below***
Leila and Andrew planned the car incident as they thought Max had EB (an illness) and wanted him to pass peacefully and gave him "allergy medication"
Max didn't actually have EB - he came out in rashes from their lawn treatment
Yasmin slept with work colleague so Max isn't Andrews
Yasmin actually slept with Will (Leila's husband) so Max is his child?!?! Why was this revealed 3 pages before the end !!

4.8/5 or 9.6/10 stars this book was so flipping good! I had to take away .2 stars because I needed someone to be more deliberate than they were. I’m evil like that. But this book is so underrated! What the hell. This is a hate crime. It’s criminal that this author isn’t more celebrated.
