Solid 3. Cute idea. Hard to follow the narrators voices. Many of his males characters had the same voice so conversations were confusing. I had a hard time staying engaged.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just did not enjoy it. I found Patrick to be annoying most of the book. I had high hopes for some growth, but not much happened. I did enjoy his relationship with the kids though and I think he was the perfect person for them to spend a summer with. I thought this could have simply been written better and more details for Patrick's growth.

This was such a sweet, adorable and light story. It was also funny. And also a story of grief and how every characters handle the grief. I loved it very much. The characters are just everything. 😁
