surprise!!! okay so after the insistence of Katie, Paloma, Hayley, and Lexi (and tangentially Erin) I tried this again. and it was kind of boring!!! sorry!!!! the tamlin love story was predictable and knowing rhys is the main series love interest made me feel very icky about how they introduce him here. feyre is arrogant and has no personality. but I must give my love to lucien and the main plot twists did actually make me gasp out loud. not to be predictably dykey but with these two beast men love interests heterosexuality is looking bleak, man…

While I haven’t read much fantasy, I wanted to know about the hype here and stayed til the end (though I considered not finishing for much of the first half of the book). The last 1/3 of the book is more exciting, but I read the synopsis of the last four books rather than staying in the series.
