I liked it but didn't love it as much as the first book. I feel hard for that book! I thought this one would be the same but it was different vibes, darker, slower, less addictive and explosive. Pup was different too, harder, angrier, darker. Also Ravi takes a side role her, pushed aside for Conor to take on a bigger role,. and Conor is no Ravi.

Somehow this one was even more unbelievable than "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder". At least in the first one Pip was sort of likeable, but in this one she was unbearable. I don't know if the author could have made her more unlikeable if she tried. On top of that the plot of this book was so convoluted and many times seemed like it was really grasping at straws to get all the pieces to fit. That being said, it is a YA book so I can't judge it as if it were a thriller written for an adult. Even so, I don't think it was a strong book by any means. Plus it was a weird mix of seemingly more childish than the 1st in the series yet some of the plot points were darker which made for a weird vibe.

Will I read the 3rd one? Yeah. Mainly just because I want to know how the overall storyline ends and it wasn't bad enough not to finish out the trilogy.

It’s a fine listen for when you’re doing something but it’s kinda just a rehashing of the first story but a bit darker. The whole premise kinda got tiring after the first couple of chapters.
