‪it’s rare when i think a sequel outshines the previous book in a series - but this one does it! in my opinion, agggtm was a little juvenile. it read almost like a nancy drew book to me. ggbb is darker and has real stakes. since agggtm was about solving a cold case, it didn’t feel tense and urgent, but this one does. it also does a good job at showing the fallout of pip’s “commercial” success in the first book, especially emotionally. ‬

The sequel to AGGGTM (A Good Girls Guide to Murder), is so good. It’s between a 4.25 and 4.5 but it’s leaning more towards five. I’m so excited to start the third book in the series, As Good As Dead tomorrow.

jak dla mnie pierwszy tom wypada lepiej, tutaj wiele elementów wydawało się absurdalnych i liczyłam, że wszystko będzie nieco bardziej powiązane ze sprawą andie bell (w końcu to kameralne, spokojne miasteczko… ).

mimo tego muszę przyznać, że te książki są niezwykle intrygujące i angażujące. żadne słowa nie opiszą tego jak dobrze się na nich bawię!

Leider kann der zweite Teil für mich nicht an die Begeisterung für den ersten Teil anknüpfen. Die Atmosphäre sowie die Spannung verliert sich immer wieder und es sind zu viele Handlungsstränge denen man folgen muss. Zeitgleich verändert sich Pip, was nach den Ereignissen des ersten Teils verständlich ist, die Art und Weise sich jedoch fehl am Platz anfühlt. Die Beziehung zu Ravi entwickelt sich weiter und man lernt auch mehr über Pips Freunde. Das Buch hatte viel Potenzial, lässt davon jedoch vieles auf halber Strecke liegen.
