Lovel love love smutty Christmas books and this turned the spice up to the max. Great cheesy story with a lot of heat. Loved it.

Very cute story, easy read. Well written. Reached outside the normal tropes.

Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone hit this one out of the park to me. I was apprehensive going into this one because of so many people talking down on it in Facebook groups and Instagram. I'm so glad I tuned them out to enjoy Bee and Nolan's story.

Things I loved:
  • Body positive (complaining about things not possibly fitting isn't knocking body positivity down.)
I found Bee to be a great lead character and she was realistic to someone who struggles with body image. I think that what she was experiencing are things I deal with on a daily basis and that felt welcoming.
  • Supportive Parents
Bee's parents are so supportive of her and not necessarily afraid to say that she's an entertainer. I think its wonderful that her moms love her so unconditionally and aren't worried about what makes her happy.
  • Bi-Pride
Come on how often do we get to see two leads who are both Bisexual talking about it positively and not necessarily in a way that is fetishized.
  • Small town hallmark feel
Who doesn't love a hallmark movie? We all enjoy them even if it's in secret. I loved the homey yet steamy feel of this.

Things that weren't so great
  • The intro by Bee's boss
It left me wanting his perspective more than Bee and Nolan. So Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone, when do we get Uncle Ray Ray's side?
  • The lack of communication between Nolan and Bee at times
They literally avoid talking to each other like nervous nancy's and it was very frustrating to see them avoid each other.
  • Double standards toward women
Why is it 2023 and we're still putting women down who are in the adult industry but we praise men. So very frustrating and I'm glad that they covered it in this novel.

I'm a huge fan of Julie Murphy and this just solidified me continuing to read her books. I gave this 4.75 because of the intro and epilogue, I know nit picky, sue me.

It was a good romance really but it wasn’t amazing for me either. I think the mart that annoyed me most was Bee and Teddy acting like people who watch porn could never stumble across a cheesy romcom especially considering their own backgrounds and yet there they are involved in a cheesy romcom??? It was just such dumb logic I couldn’t stand it when they’d casually bring it up a total of like 5 times too many throughout the story.

We love a good sex positive, body positive romance, especially when you throw in a good old fashioned Hallmark-esque Christmas movie plot.

The downside for me is honestly that it wasn't as Christmas-y as the title suggested. It felt more fun wintry romance and totally didn't live up to the "Meet Cute" title.

Otherwise it was a fun little romance (with plenty of spice) and I'm personally hoping for a couple sequels so we can see what happens in the lives of a few side characters!
