A wonderful, fun, and candid catalogue of the first ten seasons and cultural impacts of one of the most influential reality tv shows and one of the biggest moments in LGBT history (or should I say Her-story)!

Great overview of the conception and first 10 years of beloved RPDR. Some key queens were missing interviews, but what can you expect when they have washed their hands of the show! I needed to re-watch some of the iconic moments as the descriptions sometimes danced around what was shown to the viewers on TV.

It was slow and went too in depth in some of the material. To begin with, the introduction was too much “fan” and was laying it on way too think. I wish they had talked more about the racism and not just in context of the Vixen. The Vixen was reacting to producer story cuts and activities from earlier seasons, and I felt like the interviewees were never asked about racism on their own seasons. I did appreciate the conclusion the most, which had a view of how this tv show changed the lives of people who participated, culture, as well as their day to day livelihoods.

Although I liked the content of the book, its organization made it feel repetitive at times.
