Very well done story. You can tell that a lot of research went into this. I really appreciate the relationship development and world-building.

I loved it! But...

So many lovely moments that had me smiling at the pages. This sweetverse romance hits the spot! I've had major hangover after books like Lola and the Millionaires.

Totally recommend if you're looking for sweetverse!

....

I had a few issues though.

One, is that there are three alphas but I found myself wishing for more of Rune. It seemed to lean more toward Kylian, and I missed the others. Or seeing them all together. We only got ONE scene!

The second, is the last 30% dragged a fair bit. It was tough to get through, so my reading slowed down a lot. It's a lot of separation, and then when they're finally back together... It's a time jump and epilogue.

Some storylines felt forgotten about or rushed. What happened with Sloane for example. I just feel we didn't really get closure there. Or what happened to Lawrence's father? I suspect we will have to wait for the next book for any update there but it means this book felt a little lacking.

Kyllian and Cian. Their names I kept confusing together lmao. They're quite similar and so it was harder to distinguish. Especially as the characters all seem so similar, like 1 is said to be a playboy and 1 is said to be cold and distant. Yet... throughout the book they act relatively the same as each other.

For 600 pages, it just feels like some bits could be more concise, and more development could be made with some plot and characters.

But overall, I loved the book. Look forward to the next one! The series has some good potential!

This was a really long book that I sometimes struggled with. I found that I thought Everleigh did not have any agency over her own choices, and once she was in the position to take it she never did. Despite this, I did enjoy the book and liked seeing men who were both careful with those in their lives and cared about the way society treated others.

A little slow in the beginning but really picked up. A darker slow burn omegaverse.

3 ⭐️ I wanted to give it 4 but by golly did it drag out at the end …
