In the acknowledgements, the author, who is a musician, writes that he was inspired to write this book after a week of binge-reading novels for the first time during his twenties.

This book is the equivalent of Stephen King binge-listening to polka records for a week and then recording and releasing his own accordion album.

I must admit, I enjoyed the experience of reading this terrible book, but only because I put myself in the same mindset that I did many years ago when I bought tickets to see Spiceworld in the theater and realized that expecting the movie to be terrible was the only way my expectations would be met.

This book exceeded the expectations of terrible I experienced watching Spiceworld and had just about the same insights and relationship with reality as that movie.

This book had me feeling a multitude of ways. I loved it and hated it all at the same time. The writing was good but bad simultaneously. But I also could not put the book down. It has the ability of sucking you in throughout. Such a mind-blowing experience reading this one.

This book was okay. It wasn't great, it wasn't original but it was still a funny book. If you haven't read or seen Fight Club, this book may also take you by surprise and may be really enjoyable.

I had low expectations when I started this due to poor reviews/ratings, and yes, the dialogue and writing were juvenile and the plot was predictable, but I surprisingly enjoyed it. It was an entertaining and clever read. The repeated mention of the "4th wall" did get annoying though.

Predictable, offensive, arrogant, and self indulgent. So incredibly derivative but thinks it is being unique, even while referencing the works it’s copying. Proof that money/fame can publish any book.

Absolute drivel. Possibly the most racist, misogynistic slop I have ever had the misfortune of reading. I’m genuinely confused as to how this steaming load of shit was ever published. Reads like the creative writing assignment of a year 10 boy who has just watched Fight Club and Donnie Darko back to back. I’m so mad that I spent money on this monstrosity. Bobby Flynn needs to pay for his crimes against literature.
