This book was interesting and fun to read. It was quick. I read it and finished because I respect Logic as a rapper. I enjoyed the ride but it was a bit simplistic in its writing which is likely because Bobby is a new author. I would give his other works a try!

I can't decide how I feel about this book. The plot was original but contrived at the same time. Same with the main character, Flynn. The whole thing felt like it was trying hard to be better than it was. What it needed most was some vocabulary. I know Flynn wasn't supposed to be the brightest, but it was challenging to read at the 3rd-grade level. Regardless, I'm sure someone will turn this into a big hit movie and no one will care.

I actually enjoyed the book. I really wouldn’t put this book under the suspenseful genre but I would say the story develops over time.

I liked the main characters but character development was lacking for everyone except Flynn. The story goes from Flynn meeting Mia, dating Mia, they hang out a few nights, Flynn has a mental break, comes to two years later and Mia is still there. Why? How? The characters maybe date a couple of weeks...I’ll say a month and Mia sticks around. That’s probably my only major issue.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and the knowledge it gave me. I didn’t know much about schizophrenia and when I would see or read about it I couldn’t picture people really living with the disease, but the book helped me to understand and empathize.

An interesting concept but poor execution. The writing felt clunky and out of place and the character descriptions felt more like a list of stereotypes more than anything else. The twist was guessed almost immediately.

I have no idea what I just read. In the nicest way possible, I think Logic should stick to rapping and cubing.

While I absolutely loved the plot, I was unimpressed by the writing style. That said, the story of Flynn in this supermarket is nothing short of a psychological thriller that unravels at every page until the genre itself begins to fall apart. It was a very quick read and left me with all questions being unanswered. All I will say is everything in this world the author creates is not what it seems.

I TRY SO HARD to not be a book snob. I really do. I read just about every genre and I gleefully read 'bad books' and have a few favourites that probably qualify.

Supermarket, however, is so terribly written that I am entirely confused at the number of 5-star reviews. I need someone to explain to me what exactly they see in this book with no plot, a twist you can see coming from the second chapter (also, Hall fires the gun way too early in the book, so the back half is just drudgery)...

I don't feel like writing any further. This was astoundingly awful.

Started off interesting and pulled me in but slowly made its way down hill. Created confusing story lines and eventually fell flat at the end.

I highly recommend this book for a number of reasons, but with discretion. I found it difficult to keep up with because the use of language and misogyny in the first part was too much to take seriously. By the second part, you understand the reasoning for it. Unfortunately it is a bit easy to guess the twist, but it doesn't make it any less entertaining, particularly for writers themselves. The characters and meta-factor make it a good read in the end.
