The writing really wasn’t that bad but the story was brutal, just read fight club instead.

Is this the best book I’ve read? No. Is this the worst book I’ve read? Also no. Very predictable, not the best well-written, and too many cliche characters. I’m confused on how more editing was not involved with this before being released. I think it’s an “OK” first book by Bobby Hall and I hope he gets better editors if he wants to write another. If he doesn’t, I don’t think I’ll read another.
Kinda spoilers:
It was okay, and then I started getting closer and closer to the ending and was shocked. This is NOT how mental health issues work, seemed like a very ignorant, problematic way to discuss mental health. It reads like someone who started reading books for the first time in their lives as an adult, and then says "hey, I think I can do this!" a week in. Funny thing is, that's exactly what he said happened when he got the idea to write it, LOL.

I was hopeful in staring this book and it was somewhat misplaced… I feel like this book tries too hard to be like the cult classic fight club. A perfect book if you’re after a very easy read that you don’t have to think much about but also leaves you wanting more. :(
Pretty good, but not mind blowing. As far as thrillers go, I’m really glad this wasn’t one where the ~truth~ was revealed in the last 30 pages. The predictable & foreshadowed, but enjoyable surprise occurred about halfway through which i liked way better than reading an entire story to learn things aren’t as they seem at the very end
I enjoyed this book a lot. I’ve taken some creative writing classes, and I understand this book wouldn’t really be classified as “good writing.” He didn’t have immense detail, he kinda of went through everything and it was fast paced and very captivating. I love this book for that reason, because it held my attention at the level Harry Potter held my attention the first time I read it. There are plenty of crazy twists, and although I was able to guess certain parts of the story, so much happened that I definitely didn’t expect. I love the creative genius of Bobby as a musical artist and now a writer, and I’m excited to read more books he writes in the future :)
Also I definitely recommend the soundtrack to the book as well!! It’s amazing!!

a lot could’ve been left unsaid for sure. entertaining read
this was a total waste of my time. why did his editor let him get away with any of this? SO bad
Disappointed because I love Logic and had such high hopes. This had such potential. Had the editors had a much sterner hand, reigned in the random name dropping and chapters of distracted rambling and focused much more tightly on the plot and developing it in a way that didn't feel rushed or disjointed, this would probably be my novel of 2019.
