Things I liked:
- No miscommunication trope. No third act breakup.
- The humor of the shifters
- The plot was not predictable and a few times my jaw dropped
- Raven and MMC acted as equals and didn’t have some weird power struggle or male dominance. She called him out when he was trying to doubt her.
Things I didn’t like:
- There were times when I was thoroughly confused about what was happening in the plot.
- There wasn’t any tension between the couples. The spice fizzled for me.
- I didn’t like the POV switching between Kir and Raven. It would switch back mid chapter and it was hard to follow (in audiobook)
- Was at 4⭐️ for me until about 50% in and then it slowly sank to 3⭐️ in the last half

Got so bored
I really really wanted to like this book, but halfway through it just lost all draw for me. The ending of the series took me out of it completely.

I liked the pacing of this a bit better. The action felt decently believable and I didn't know what was going to happen. Minor peeves: solving Kirsi's murder felt like a throwaway plot and wasn't elaborated as well as it could've been. The way the magic worked out with the characters was kinda weird.
