Aaaahhhh! This freaking JOURNEY! I def saw some things coming and am glad I was right!

We all called Grey being the king the second he opened his mouth in book 1, right?! Gods! And Nim being the one who was spelled to kill our best buddy Kiersi! And the wishes! And the sassy wraiths! And NIKOS BEING EDEN’s FATHER! How fucking gross was he?! Really fucking gross!!

The different bonds of love and friendship and romance and found family are so gorgeous in this freaking duology! The banter and the serious moments equally wonderful! I am excited to read the novella! And I am excited to read the author’s other book!
And for gods sake, more authors should do a quick recap at the beginning of their second+ books! Game changer!!

I was rockin with the first book it sucked me in and I was jazzed to start the second book and they could have taken this in a million directions. I am so tired of the trope where we take the most powerful woman in the land and dick-ma-tize her and that is the plot. Additionally the whole <spoiler: him being both gray and bashian> giving me (switch up my weave make him feel like he cheatin’ -thank you Meg the stallion) vibes. Also the parents were killed off with like no fan fair.
