Obsessed! So glad it ended on HEA

After loving the first book in this duology I was excited to hear that this second installment dropped so quickly! I love anything witch-y and was eager to see how this book would end. I've read both series in Mirand Lyn's world and I can say this series (IMO) is superior as her writing has really evolved from her first one. Her writing really captivates you, and I'll say she is not afraid to cause some heartache!

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. I think Lyn wrote a captivating story and world and it ended rather well! I do like Lyn's writing style and recommend this series overall!

All pros/cons are my opinion but can help you determine if you want to read this series!

Pros:
-Fast paced, especially when you hit the 50% mark
-Some plots/twists that really kept you on your toes! I loved that some I had to keep guessing.
-Lyn really knows how to write some heartache, she is not afraid for characters to die. Sometimes I agree w/ them and sometimes I don't
-Spicy - it is a little but again w/ her other series its 2 pages max which isn't my cup of tea.
-The found family and relationships, you see them develop throughout this book and I loved it.
-Bastian says all the right quotes.
-Lots of quotable moments, fun banter when there was some tough moments

Cons:
- Spicy - see above, very short pages which doesn't give much for imagination
- I like dual POVs, however, I felt like there was a bit too much Kirsi after not having her in the first book
-Sometimes pacing felt off, I'd be reading something and all of a sudden it would skip to the next thing without a good transition? Not sure if me or the way it was set up but I noticed it enough that I'm writing about it

A fine second book. If you enjoyed the first you will enjoy the second.
