This is such an incredibly sweet and wonderful book. It's different from anything I've read but it reminds me of some of the best and most comforting books I've read. So beautiful.

I heard a lot about this book and so I was pretty hyped about seeing it IN ENGLISH even in my library (one of them). However... while I do like the friendship between the animals and the boy and the sketches for most, and handful of the quotes were nice (albeit so so not original), it just felt like a self-help book. The quotes felt very random, very out of place, and at times it just felt a bit too much sugar (I am not the type of girl who is into quotes like: OMG YOU ARE SO SO LOVE and YOU ARE SPECIAL JUST FOR US and We love you for who you are.). It felt like someone just made some sketches to show a story and then decided to just dump some of their favourite quotes on top of it instead of making an actual story to go along with the story the sketches tell.
It is a shame. Oh well, I gave it a shot.

Amazing art but generic self-care sentences that you hear everywhere
