Eure Meinungen? 🌸

Like all the other books in the series I read it in one sitting!!! For one I was practically screaming for the last fifty pages. I can't tell you how Celeste grew on me and then she's gone same with Anne!! It was just to mich and I can't wait for 'The Heir' comes out!!!!

So many equally good and bad moments in this book that it truly deserves three stars

The best book in the whole series.

I am forever entertained by how much I used to love this book. It probably has the blandest ever man as the love interest, and the most "I'm not like other girls" female protagonists ever, but thinking back, these books are still fun.

Just explain to me what was America Singer, a singer from America. I'm dying.

3 stars:
1 for Maxon *swoon*.
1 for the fact that it surprised me frequently.
1 for the fact that I couldn't put it down, ever.

I think I would've rated this book 3.5 stars if I had the option. I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, and I haven't had a series that kept me so hooked for so long in a while.

I WANTED to be able to rate these books higher so much, but I couldn't. I found way to many flaws in all of them to be able to.

Here are my biggest issues:

1) America is all around just not a likable character.

SOMETIMES she has her moments where I like her but in general, I just can't seem to enjoy her. Can't she just once listen? Honestly? Does she have to be a rebel all of the time? Because it gets really old. She also is so torn between Maxon and Aspen and then all the sudden seems to just decide without warning like it was the easiest decision in the world. Real bitch move America, letting Aspen hang on to you just so that you have a back up plan in case Maxon doesn't want you. At the end of this book I decided that there is no way in hell that America deserves Maxon, he is a wonderful guy and she needs to let him be with a wonderful girl. *harsh but true*

2) The plot twists basically ended up being a formula.

One the author is like, "Okay, I've done about 3 to 4 chapters of just the Selection stuff. It's starting to turn into too much Bachelor and not enough anything else. Let's throw in a plot twist!" She then proceeds to either 1) wake America up from sleep in the middle of the night to go do something "important" or for an emergency. Or 2) throws in a rebel attack. Even at the beginning of the series it was easy to see how this formula was going to be used over and over again.

3) The "rebel" plot was not well developed nor ever explained well.

I personally thought the rebel plot was very interesting! I wanted to hear so much more about it! She didn't develop it at all and it was infuriating! At the end of the novel America finds out her Dad was a Northern Rebel. And then the book proceeds by doing absolutely nothing about it. What was the point of learning that if it added nothing? That kind of information is something you learn at the climax of a plot, not the end. The rebel characters were stagnant and it was always a little difficult to tell exactly what the hell they were trying to do. I feel as if the only reason this was even added to the novels at all were to add a bit of action every now and then so the books weren't just romance novels.

I wish this was a much better review (I didn't have a lot of time for this one) and I wish I could go on forever about it.

These novels gave me this odd mix of feelings: I loved them and couldn't put them down, yet I had so many issues with them. Weird, right?

good. i feel like she came up with one of the plot ideas just in the last book. it worked, but there could have been foreshadowing in the previous books. Would have been a great big fat one book.

Finally a ya trilogy that ends correctly without completely screwing everyone over! Also much better than book 2, but definitely not as amazing as book 1!

Ya he leído los capítulos que han salido desbloqueados en la página oficial, y me ha encantado. En tan pocos capítulos he sentido diferentes emociones. ¡No puedo esperar a leer completo!
