tbh, ending felt very abrupt.... not sure how i feel after reading it. i think it could’ve been handled better...? I don’t know, the steady pace throughout the whole book was great, and then the two major (and distinct) conflicts reached a climax like, simultaneously, and it almost feels like problem #2 was a cop out for solving problem #1. And then it ended. Idk. but it was still a good book, hard to put down. I didn’t think i’d want to read the next one but lowkey i kind of do........
I don't think this book was supposed to be funny, but it gave me a good laugh ✨

Nu ko lai pasaka. Pārsteidzoša grāmata, triloģijas trešā, bet esmu laimīga, ka tepat plauktā, no bibliotēkas paņemta stāv "Prinča līgava. Mantiniece"
Un tas citāts, kur man lika raudāt: "No šiem vārdiem man aizrāvās elpa. -Es došos mājās?"
Un lai galīgi man un jums sajauktu domas ievietošu arī vēl vienu, pēdējo citātu "Man sirds ir tavējā, tu drīksti to salauzt. Kā tu jau zini, es labāk miršu nekā redzēšu tevi ciešam sāpes."
Varu ar pārliecību teikt, ka šī ir mīļākā, pagaidām, grāmata šajā sērijā, bet tagad gad es skrienu rakstīt recenziju šim darbam. :D

I'm glad I made it through this series, and while the end did tie everything up nicely, it honestly felt like a rush job. Maxon and America were fighting and going back and forth up until the VERY last possible moment. It resulted in Maxon declaring his undying love for America two minutes after saying he could t wait for her to leave.
My other problem was the rebels. This entire book it has felt like an unnecessary plot point. If something so serious is going to be written in, the characters needed to take it more seriously than "Oh look, rebels are breaking in left and right 3 times a week, guess we'll just have a lot of hiding spots." At this point I'm convinced the only reason they were there was so that they could CONVENIENTLY wipe out all obstacles to America and Maxons relationship (mainly the father). Only to be dealt with be the other band of good rebels.
Was the series good? Not really. Frustrating? Yes. Did I still cheer when they got their happily ever after? Also yes.

4.5 STARS
I do really love this book series. I love Maxon and America together so much. I found America to be a lot more tolerable in the book compared the 'The Elite'. She was so indecisive and would say something and then do the opposite. It was obvious that America was in love with Maxon but she just wouldn't break to off with Aspen. If she did that earlier in the book and told Maxon about them earlier, Maxon wouldn't have chosen Kriss because he was hurt.
We only heard of a little of what Maxon plans on doing now that he was king and I wish we got more and got to see him and America carrying those ideas out.
It was a really fun series and I'm looking forward to reading 'The Heir' to see how Maxon and America changed the laws that were in place and what they are like as an older married couple.

For me, The Selection was still better than this book, but as a whole, it was a good edition to the series. It sure had it twists and turns and surprises that I wasn't planning on, and it's always nice to be surprised by a book :). This was a quick read -- adventure, romance, heart break. Everything you could ask for. I would recommend this book and series. 4 out of 5 stars.
I read this book in one day. I wanted to know how it was going to end. I liked the plot for the most part. I'll say that I rolled my eyes too, but overall I liked it. Cheesy, but just the right amount.
I liked this book best out of the three.
Favorite Quotes:
"Mistakes mean it's real." pg. 77
"Don't worry. The best people all have some kind of scar." pg. 131
"But even now I know this isn't a fairy tale. I know that we'll have hard times, confusing times. i know that things won't always happen the way we want them to and that we'll have to work to remember that we chose this. It won't be perfect, not all the time. This isn't happily ever after. It's so much more than that." pg. 323
