Good series slightly sappy but very realistic with emotions
Ahhhhh I just sucked this book up! Started around 5pm and finished 11pm with a break to go out to my dinner plans, that I was late for, because I was reading. It was so easy to be pulled right back without missing a beat!
Plus the ending after everything!! ^.^

I’ve never been more enraged by a main character. The back and forth, the plot devices, it was all just painful.
Overall, I found this much more enjoyable compared to "The Selection" and "The Elite". This book didn't suffer any pacing issues compared to the earlier books, and was much easier to get through.
All in all, it was tied up in 20 or so pages - which I don't really like, and there was a lot of unnecessary loss.
I can't believe that Maxon just got over America's relationship with Aspen, and I think that I'll miss Queen Amberly most of all.

De toda la saga, este libro me pareció más interesante hasta el punto de no parar de leer. Ha habido momentos de tensión, drama, pena y frustación (sobre todo con America). ¡Me ha encantando su desenlace!

“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”
En general me gustó más el 2, se me hizo más entretenido, pero el finaaal. La confesión de amor, las cartas, LA FRASE, guau.

Holy Moly. There was one event I was waiting for and of course, it was at the very end. Nonetheless, this book never fails to disappoint much like the rest of the series. In The One I think this is the book that Maxon is most romantic towards America. And I can't express how much my heart melts when they tell each other that they love one another. As always, there are actions from both Maxon, America, and Aspen that drive me up the wall. I don't like how from time to time Maxon would toy with America's heart and she would return the hurt. Not to mention how Aspen always seemed to be popping up everywhere America looked. One of my favorite events of this novel is when the four girls come together to be friends. The tables turned for the better as each of the remaining elite finally understood one another and their intentions.

Wow. I am so glad that I took the time to reread this book. Some parts I remembered but others I didn't, like chapter 29. The One is a magnificent book. At times I will say I was upset at America's little games and mistakes, but I loved the small twists and turns Kiera wrote into the character's lives. I was sad to see some go but in the end, everything turned out just fine. I'm super excited t reread the Heir next!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice level: YA
Format: Ebook
Genre: Dystopia
POV: 1st person Single
What you’ll find:
✅Disaproving father
✅Secret keeping
✅Grief
Honestly the whole Aspen thing pissed me off so much, but like I said, these books are like crack. Can’t help but love them anyway. Even with this rushed and somewhat unsatisfying ending
