America is a little less indecisive in this book, and also a tad more mature. For a change, she attempts to think about people other than herself, and if only she'd been that way at the start of the series, I would have enjoyed these books much more. She still behaves stupidly and selfishly, but at least she attempts to think about others.
After three books of The Selection, I seriously feel like the plot would have made one decent book. Too much was just dragged out. Too much of overthinking and silliness overpowering what could have been a really good setup for a dystopian novel. Even till the end, there appeared to be not much of a solution to the issue of the rebels. There were too many problems, and at the end we're just left with a tiny ray of hope for a better tomorrow. It wasn't enough. This series could have been so much more than the fancy rich game of house and slightly sappy love triangle that it was.
Still, as much as the books annoyed and frustrated me, something kept me reading. I just wanted to know. And that alone has earned them their stars. Because I have a hard time understanding all the hype surrounding these books. Maybe they just weren't my thing.

okay my stress level was through the roof with this book. these characters would frustrate me so badly I just wanted to shake them and yell at them! but I still liked this! it's seriously a weird feeling. I wish that the rebels and all the stuff going on there had a bigger focus in the series. Full review to come but I will say while the writing is simple, I was still swept up in this series.
Such an amazing ending to a great series. Lots of twists and turns as expected and lots of tears as I read the last 50 pages. So good.
I had to finish this to see the ending, but it was boring and predictable for the most part
