Might be my favourite ice planet barbarian story! Thought the depiction of trauma was thoughtfully done (I’m no expert on the subject). The relatively slow progression of the relationship was good, with MMC trying to befriend the FMC. Unlike the other males who just wanted to impress and provide. I found it believable for a sci-fi romance.

This was my first “multiple men after the same girl” trope, and while I liked the concept, I wasn’t a fan of the execution.

The story has four alien men basically competing for Tiffany’s attention. Then there’s Salukh, the quiet one who doesn’t push himself on her, just helps when she needs it. His patience and kindness were so refreshing. It made him the standout. Even as things developed, he always tried to protect her, never hurt her.

The competition between the guys felt immature and honestly ruined it for me. The “contest” was silly and pointless, and Tiffany’s friend Josie tried to help but I think it made it worse as a plot. Side step tangent, Josie gets treated terribly in these books just because she talks too much, which made no sense. She's lovely.

I also struggled with how heavily the book focused on Tiffany’s trauma from being raped on the first alien ship. I do appreciate that her love interest supported her healing, but personally, this isn’t the type of love story I enjoy.

The Honeymoon section continues right after the main story, but it mostly dives into Tiffany’s fear of family connection. It wasn’t terrible, just felt flat and uninteresting.

Overall, this book wasn’t a win for me. Not bad but definitely not for me.

I really appreciated the exploration of Tiffany’s PTSD. Of course these girls would be traumatized but we haven’t heard about that much yet. It was wonderful to see she had some people who were looking out for her. This was a sweet one!

A bit of a heavier read compared to the earlier books in the series but still such a good storyline.

I LOVED Salukh and Tiffany's story! The only draw back was I hated that she didn't TALK to her girlfriends a iit what was wrong, but she DID tell Salukh a little bit about what happened so that was good. I just feel like she didn't have to isolate herself SO much. Salukh is by far the best sa-kuhi IMO. He was so patient and moved at Tiffany's pace, always checking for her consent, he's the best.
