This book is laugh-out-loud funny and completely engaging. I loved every minute of it.

The first chapter is a bit of a drag, and I wondered what I had struck. After that though, its not unlike reading one of his Childrens stories. Fascinating characters and experiences. A quick read, and a real page-turner. Highly recommended for any Dahl fans.

Horrifying the casual beatings that happened on the regular in old-timey British schools. No wonder authority figures are always the villains in his books. His childhood vacations to Norway sounded idyllic though.

Like a Roald Dahl book but better because you can see where his ideas for his stories came from.

Wow Dahl had an interesting childhood.
