This is the second book in the series and after reading Shane and Delaney's story I could not wait to read this one and it did not disappoint. I just loved Landon and Piper's book but damn these two just broke my heart but I could not stop reading it. It was a fantastic second chance rockstar romance and I cannot wait for book 3.

I am such a sucker for rockstar stories. This series has definitely become a favorite of mine so far. I am loving this one even more than the first. Such a great storyline. It is beautiful and sexy and I loved the characters. They are well developed and multidimensional and I was sucked into their story and their world. I can't wait to read more from this series!

What a brilliant story. I have not read any of Tara's previous books, so coming in this series at book 2 was a little disconcerting. Let me tell you.... No Worries!!! I picked right up and sailed along reading this book in a few hours. Anything that happened in book 1 was not too ingrained in this one.

This is a serious second chance at love, finding out who you really are and being the person you were meant to be. The emotions of coming back from rock bottom and self loathing were just so wonderful. Cannot wait for the next book. Headed back to read the other books that Ms. Leigh has published!

"Want to know the difference between a legend and a fairy tale? Only one of them ends happily ever after."

Rock Legend, the second installment of the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh is a great second chance novel about a hot troubled drummer.

"Her energy shuddered through me, flipping a switch I hadn't realized had been locked in the off position until now. Until seeing Piper. Touching Piper. Kissing Piper. Again."

Landon is really something. During his story he shows many facets. The ones you can't help falling in love with and the ones that makes you want to take the hand of the broken boy, telling him everything is going to be ok.
Tara did really well writing and exploring his trouble with substance abuse. It was obvious he always replaced one addiction with another until he realized what really matters most to him and changed directions.

"Nothing worth having comes easy."

Piper is beautiful in her own broken way. In Rock King we got a glimpse of Piper and I already had my biased opinion about her. Lesson learned: Don't judge a book by its cover. She's strong, so strong and I'm really happy that she found in Landon a guy who appreciates her for who she really is and not for her perfection.

"Piper and I were so much alike that we were exact opposites. Mirror images."

Landon and Piper work well together. But I didn't get as much chemistry vibes than I got from Shane and Delaney. Their story was well plotted but to me mostly predictable. The part I loved most was the petting pups center. I truly love this idea and how Tara has woven a personal experience into this book.

"I needed to know him. The rock star and the wounded boy. The loner. The legend. Landon Cox was all of those things. And then some."

I really enjoyed reading Rock Legend, but it couldn't really keep up with my feelings for Rock King.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow! I have never read a book by this author before and I can say after reading this book I will definitely be reading more from her. This book was so so good that I read it all in a day and could not put it down. The story of the rock legend Landon and the sweet always trying to be enough Piper was epic. I love rock star books and this one is now in my top 5. Landon was such an awesome and sexy character you can't help but to fall in love with him, flaws and all. Piper aka Pippa was written so well anyone can relate to her need to prove she is enough and try to live up to others expectations. I had so many quotes I saved from the story because it was full of such awesome advice and remarks especially at the end the author's note:

"Piper represents an all too common problem in our society - women clinging to the idea that they have to be perfect to be worthy of love.
No one is perfect.
To everyone reading this note - it is our differences and imperfections that make us who we are. Please, embrace them. Life would be painfully boring if we were all the same." AMAZING this author is a new favorite :) Will leave an amazon review when the book is available on July 17th

Not too big on rock star romances, but this book made the genre alive for me again. Holy smokes, This is was a fantastic ride to be on, and I was so enthralled with the story, with the characters, and the whole book. I didn't want it to end, but yet I was ready for it to end so I could get some sleep. This heartfelt rocker romance is told in dual pov.

Dnf at 47%. Kicked to the curb h hooks up with the ex, the H. pretty darn quickly after meeting him again, no need for apology or an explanation or let me see..some pride? All for a good time in bed. yeah right, I'm judging. He of course has had to plow his way through all those women, just had to, to forget her. puhlease!

I loved Landon and Piper! I wanted their story after reading Shane’s! I loved that broken relationships were mended, and not just theirs. I felt their angst and the obstacles they had to overcome felt real. I teared up when Landon finally took responsibility for his actions! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

This was an intense read. Piper and Landon had a brief history that ended in heartbreak. However, the poor life choices Landon made led to Piper reentering his life, as his babysitter. Landon is truly troubled and influenced by his past, his regrets, and his inability to cope with them. Piper definitely helped heal as much as she could but he had to learn how to do it for himself. While their relationship was a big part of the book, the more important story-line was Landon coming to terms with needing help and sticking to getting that help. Their love faced many trials and at times, I was actually rooting for Piper to give up because I didn't think Landon was healthy for her or for anyone. However, this was a story of Landon's perseverance and he does reach a point where he deserves and can be good for Piper. I immensely enjoyed this book because it was challenging and thought-provoking. I can't wait to read what Tara Leigh writes next!
