If you like From Blood and Ash and Snow White, mixed with political drama, a unicorn with bloodlust, and an unknown/secret past and identity then this sequel is the book for you! This is a duel POV romantic fantasy novel with some spice. I enjoyed seeing Sabine step more into her power as she grows throughout the book into an even stronger female lead. I can't wait to see what happens in the third book!

I liked this one just as much as book one. I love that the tension was still building. I got scared for a moment that they were going to try to make this a love triangle, but they didn’t, so I’m happy.
I still love Basten. I still love Sabine. I think they’re super well matched as a couple. While I saw a few things coming, the story was really well written and interesting.
