I have read a few of Abbi Glines books and was really surprised and happy to receive an advanced copy of “As She Fades”.

It took me a while to get into this book. It was a good story and you could feel the love...but then the twist or book 2 happened. Did not expect it and don’t think it was needed. It seemed rushed at the end. Don’t think I’ll recommend this one, sorry!

I received this ebook from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I came very close to DNFing this at various sections of the book. The characters in this book did not seem fleshed out, and were just bland. The plot itself was interesting, but I feel like the twist could have been written differently.

First Abbi Glines book I wasn't so sure about. The twist was really odd and I just don't know how I feel about it at all :(

The synopsis of the book doesn’t match the actual story at all and left me completely confused. I absolutely loved the first part of the book and I wish that story had kept going. The second part I didn’t like one bit. It was really confusing and didn’t go with what I thought the story would be. I love Abbi Glines and I love the books by her that I have read but this book fell short with me

This book threw me for a loop. No spoilers, but it did have a plot twist that I was, in no way, expecting. I guess that's what makes it a plot twist. Anyway, I picked this book off my shelf on a day off of work and flew through part one (the first 200ish pages). I got busy and set the book down; I kind of just forgot about it because part one ended on a pretty satisfying note. There was one huge loose end but overall, the end of part one kind of felt like the end of the book. I finally picked it back up almost a month after reading part one and I really wish I hadn't. I mean, I wish I hadn't put it down for so long. The plot twist confused me so I had to keep doubling back to part one for reference. That's my own fault though. Had I read it all the way through the first time, it definitely would have been an easier read. Overall, this was a fun read. I love Abbi's writing style. This is a good, low commitment, summer read.

The first part was amazing and I couldn't put it down but the plot twist changed everything for me. I felt that the second part was quite rushed, I personally would have liked a continuation of the first part.

Both parts of the book were great, but not together. The blurb doesn't reflect the plot at all.
The second half just doesn't build chemistry with the characters, instead of falling for him she had already fallen for her idea of him. It doesn't make sense to dream of someone who only reads to you and get their personality correct and then wake up and they be the exact person you dreamt.

The same morals probably could have been achieved by continuing part 1 and having Crawford wake up and her having to decide where her life is now and what future she wants rather than the rushed twist that was put in place. Her actually being asleep was rushed and ruined the chemistry that was built in Part 1.
