Almost a sliding doors type story.
I enjoyed the twist in the middle of the book and the look at this life changing accident in two possible outcomes. But I don’t feel like I got to know Crawford at all. He was just a stand in for the high school boyfriend. A prop for Vale’s story line.
It’s not my favorite book by this author. It was just an okay one.

I love abbi glines but this was for from a favourite. I did but hate it, it just want as good as the rest of her books to date.
I am a huge fan of any of Abbi Glines books. They are the perfect when I need something light and she is one of my guilty pleasures. As She Fades is like many of her other books but with an interesting plot twist in the middle that I didn't see coming. I know other reviewers didn't like the twist, but it didn't bother me. It gave me a chance to see different perspectives. I am definitely a fan of Vale and Slate. Will there be more to come from these two and their family? I hope so!

- As She Fades had me hooked in from the beginning
- I didn’t like the constant slut shaming, the obsession with physical appearance, and talking about sex/male main character’s sex life. It got repetitive and annoying.
- The sex scenes were more detailed and spicier than I was expecting.
- The plot twist was unexpected and it just fell flat for me. I enjoyed the first part of the book more. However, the book got better right at the end, which was disappointing because the story was over.
- The synopsis is misleading because it mentions something that’s supposed to happen but it doesn’t? I was confused by that.
- I liked that Slate had a lot more heart than people thought. Crawford was a jerk and I didn’t like him at all.
- Vale’s family was cute and endearing. I enjoyed how close they were and how they supported Slate. I liked the character growth in of Vale.
- This book was okay but not memorable. It kept my attention at work though which was appreciated. It helped that the book is short and easy to get through.

Well.. I don’t think was expecting that twist. I feel like I should have, but I didn’t. I liked this book though!
2.5/3 Stars
So I picked this book up at a BAM on vacation for like $6 bucks and decided to give it a try. I’ve always heard mixed reviews about Abbi Glines but decided to give it a shot.
I wasn’t disappointed. The whole plot line and book itself is interesting and the writing draws you into the book. Some of the plot is very cliché, but the twists and turns at the end of the book are nice.
The character development in Val is also something I love to see in the main character, and for her to realize she’s not always making her own choices.
The book is kinda sexual but I guess you can expect that.
Personally I think Abbi Glines is a strong writer, with strong story and plot line ideas but often times make her stories a bit cliché. Obviously their isn’t anything bad about that if you like it, I’m just giving my honest opinion.
But in all honesty if a 2.5 to 3 star book is something your looking for, or a book like this I’d pick it up.
