The writing is a bit repetitive but the plot is fun and full of adventure

Cursed Prince by C. N. Crawford is the first book in a new paranormal action adventure trilogy, The Night Elves.
This book was full of action and adventure from the first page til the last.
There is so much happening and so many characters and creatures to meet and remember. Based off Ragnorok and the fall of the gods, we are introduced to elves, fairies, trolls to name a few.
Ali and Marroc were good characters and their attraction felt natural and delivered in an interesting way. I also enjoyed how the book ends.
I did get a bit annoyed about the amount of repetition in the book. Some things we were told more times than necessary throughout.

I love this world building! and it's not bogged down by weird romance!

Honestly, I'm a bit confused.

They are in Boston but it's called Midgard now? I mean, I'm okay with Norse Myth, but was confused why it's called Boston. I'd rather it be called the place in Midgard than confuse me with US geography. Lol.

It's good, world building is good. Romance is not instantaneous. Which is great. Attraction is there though. But idk. I was confused a lot, so I feel like I didn't enjoyed it that much. Hoping for a better telling on the sequel.

Also, I liked that it's dual POV. I get to see what Marroc thinks about. Most of the time we have female MC POV, but glad this one also have the male MC POV.

This was a quick easy read with fun mythos connections. I enjoyed that the story pulled from Norse mythology. I also enjoyed the different fantasy races used as well as the backstory. Even though I enjoyed those parts, the writing and characters made me feel meh. There was a huge plot twist at the end but I wasn't emotional about it.

Another great start to a new series. The tension between the characters felt real and not forced. After everything that happened I am excited to see what will happen next.
