This is from a re-read of books 10-13 before tackling the series finale. This is certainly better than the previous installment, since we've got some plot lines actually wrapping up. There are some very cool moments in here, but the book has the same problems as the other recent books in the series. Still, one of my favorite series of all time, so recommended in its entirety ;)

50% of the way through the book goes from almost unreadable dragging garbage to engaging and I dare say exciting. By the end Knife of Dreams you feel the stage is set nicely for the final books. Roll on Sanderson.

This book was truly Robert Jordan at his finest. A book that felt like an oasis in a desert compared to the previous book. So much happened in this book and there is still much that hasn't been concluded. Matt is still easily my favourite character in the series, unlikely to change at this point. But gods the world building and different cultures are incredible in this series.

Those final chapters...

Light help me I cannot wait to read the next book.
