Yet again, that was quite a journey! My opinion of Jacks continues to swing wildly back and forth, but I desperately want to root for him. The tension between him and Evangeline is palpable and has me hanging on every word to see how things go.

“In the morning, you can forget it. You can go back to pretending you don't like me, and I can pretend that I don't care. But for tonight, let me pretend you're mine.”

And that ending though! It is absolutely infuriating, and I am SO glad I have book three readily available so I can continue the story!

This entire book can be summed up as "Evangeline is going through it." 5 stars. I ate it up, licked the plate, and then said "fuck it" and ate the plate too. Will get onto reading the next book ASAP.
